Me and the terrible, no good, very bad day

A week ago I had quite the scare. I was getting ready for work in the morning; I had brought my bags into the kitchen and was going to grab some food, when out of the corner of my eye I saw something move on my shoulder. I turned my head to get a better look, and it was a spider! I freaked out- in less than 2 seconds I had grabbed the hem of the dress that I was wearing and ripped it off over my head. My mom was in the kitchen and so I tossed the dress to her while saying something like, “spider- dress, spider- on me.” So I stood there, wringing my hands, while my mom shook the spider out of my dress and then killed it. For those of you who think I am a weenie, this was a seriously large spider. It’s body was the size of a quarter. So I went to work and told some co-workers about it, and they laughed at me- of course- and then asked what I would have done if a spider crawled on me at work, would I have stripped there as well? And I don’t know what I would have done. I mean, tearing my dress off was pure reaction, so while I would hope that I wouldn’t do that, I can’t make any promises. Especially when it involves 8 legged creatures. Ick!
