I scream, you scream, we all scream for...what the...???

As I was reading the news this morning I came across the following story:

I’ve always thought that PETA was crazy, but this really tops it all. I am pretty confident that ice cream consumption would go down if Ben & Jerry’s were to follow the advice of these nuts. You can be sure that I would never eat another bite of brownie madness, or any other such flavor!

A Busy Weekend!

This past weekend was really busy for our family. There was a memorial for my Uncle Jerry at UCLA on Sunday, and so all of my siblings and their kids were able to make it except for Sonja- we missed you Sonja! My uncle was a great man, and many people were there to pay tribute to him and the wonderful life that he lived. He was the most kind-hearted man I have ever known, and we will all miss him.

Since almost all of us were together, we took the opportunity to celebrate my Dad's 60th birthday- 2 weeks early, it was a surprise. We ordered t-shirts for everyone and put random quotes on them. Mine said, "My dad once broke the land speed record on a bicycle that was missing it's chain and the back tire." One of my favorites was Alex's shirt, it said: "My grandpa is the reason Waldo is hiding." Anyway, we had a ton of fun celebrating. We went to breakfast together in Santa Monica, then played at the beach and later walked around the pier. All in all it was a fun day.

"Misma" showcasing Ryenne and her lovely face.
Brayden looking adorable as ever! He is such a good baby!

My arms are sore today from carrying this dead weight around all afternoon, but I wouldn't have traded it for anything! But really guys, next time we've got to remember the strollers!

The kids had a blast looking at all the birds, the ocean, and...everything else.

Ryan meeting his nephew Brayden for the first time. They got along great!

Elizabeth and Ryenne being silly.

Megan and her kids- they are adorable aren't they?

Here we are laughing at Justin and Megan's gift to dad, a survival guide for the elderly.

Tyler is such a little ham!

Camping!

I went camping a few months ago with some friends and have been meaning to post some pictures, but just hadn't gotten around to it. So finally, here they are- pictures from my fantastically fun camping trip!

In this picture (from left to right) Kristen, Julie, Elizabeth and SuGen are cleaning up after our delicious breakfast. I took over the ever important duty of trip photographer and so was unable to help wash the dishes. Don't worry, I did my fair share of cleaning later...

Above SuGen was making a dragon-ous monster in her shadow. Random, but I thought that it was a cool photo.

SuGen and I were all over the wood collecting for the fires. This particular piece of woodhad these humongous ants in it, and once the wood was placed on the flames the ants scampered out of that wood as fast as possible.

Here is a picture of SuGen and me standing inside one of the giant sequoia trees. We camped in the Sequoia National Forest, and it was really neat to walk around and see all of these magnificent and beautiful trees.

On our last night I started braiding SuGen's hair, and then we were all braiding each other's hair. Yeah, super cheesy, but it was fun.

This is a picture of me in an Indian bathtub. The native Americans would live in this area in the summer time.

25% Mine, Right?

The past week or so my life has been a little crazy- well, an extra amount of crazy, because my sister Elizabeth was in town with her son, Brayden, and her husband, Joseph. They left early Tuesday morning, and I am going to miss them! Brayden is so adorable! I know that there are people out there who are thinking I am just saying this because he is related to me, and so I am including some pictures to validate my claims.

See- he really is adorable! I love his chubby little cheeks and fat, chunky legs, what a cutie! A friend of mine suggested that since Elizabeth and I are twins and have some DNA in common, that Brayden is a quarter percent mine as well. What a deal!

That's Wicked!

I went to see Wicked this past weekend with a few friends and the family. For my mom's birthday I told her that I was going to buy tickets for her and my dad to see it, and so I headed down to Hollywood in the early afternoon to stand in the heat and wait for my chance to win the Wicked lottery. After putting my name down I definitely had a good feeling about my chances of winning. And after waiting a half hour they started drawing names, and I won! Hooray! So I got a pair of tickets on the front row for my parents, what a deal right? Anyway, I've seen it a few times now and it is a great show for all of you out there who haven't had a chance to see it- I definitely recommend it.
